Background
I was born in 1967 in Padova, Italy where I completed my education in Classical High School.
In 1995 I obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Padova. Subsequently, I obtained a M.S. (1998) and a Ph.D. (2000) in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Irvine.

In 1994-95 I qualified to serve for one year as a Second Lieutenant of the Aeronautica Militare (Italian Air Force). Upon completion of my B.S., I conducted research on advances in life prediction of structures (1995-96). During my stay in UC Irvine (1996-2001), I worked as Research Assistant and later as Post Graduate Researcher on jet noise reduction and mixing enhancement. In 2001 I joined the Gas Dynamics and Turbulence Laboratory of The Ohio State University where I directed the experimental activities of an interdisciplinary group exploring closed-loop flow control. I joined Temasek Laboratories as Research Scientist in 2006.

In my free time I like to exercise or to swim. I also very much enjoy photography and, with my wife Dianne, traveling and country dancing. Personal Web www.marcodebiasi.net
