Background
Born in Hanoi, Vietnam in 1976. Received BEng (in Electronics Engineering) and MSc (in Materials Science) degrees from Hanoi University of Technology, Vietnam in 1999 and 2002, respectively, and the PhD degree (in Materials Science) from Toyota Technological Institute, Japan in 2006.

Dr. Phuoc joined Temasek Laboratories as a Research Scientist in 2009 and was promoted to a Senior Research Scientist in 2015. From 2007 to 2009, he was a research fellow at the Physics Department, National University of Singapore. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Toyota Technological Institute from 2006 to 2007. From 2002 to 2003 he was a researcher at the Hanoi University of Technology.
