To conduct research in selected areas of science and technology critical to Singapore's defence and security

 

• Develop a long-term research programme and conduct research in the selected areas of science and technology
  

 

• Build up a strong research team to pursue high-quality innovative research

 

• Train research scientists and engineers to undertake advanced defence R&D

 

• Coordinate all other R&D initiatives outside Temasek Laboratories that are established between NUS and Defence Technology Community (DTC)

 

• Identity and undertake collaboration in research with both local and overseas research institutions and companies
