Dr NGUYEN, Quoc Viet, Senior Research Scientist, email: tslnqv@nus.edu.sg

Background
I was born in 1976 in Nha Trang City, the beautiful coastal region of Khanh Hoa Province, in the Southern of Central Vietnam. I first studied Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering and obtained the bachelor degree from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam, 1999. After graduation, I had one year (2001 – 2002) of study in Germany to improve my professional knowledge in FEM and CAD at Trier University of Applied Sciences. Subsequently, I obtained the MSc in Mechanics of Construction from University of Liège, Belgium, 2003, and Ph.D. degree in Advanced Technology Fusion from Konkuk University, South Korea, 2008. I started my career as a Lecturer in Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam, from 1999 to 2005, and Research Associate in Konkuk University, South Korea, from 2008 to 2012. I joined Temasek Laboratories in September 2012. I am interested in photography, traveling, and swimming.
