Swarm Autonomy are algorithms and solutions that enable drones to operate autonomously individually and in groups. The Swarm Autonomy Group consists of members from Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering and Mathematics, Computer Science. We focus on solving real world problems and early transition of new and novel research results into actual applications.

Faults in safety-critical systems will often cause undesired reactions and consequences that could damage the system, personnel or the environment. Fault tolerance enables a system to continue its intended operation, possibly at a reduced level, rather than failing completely, when some part of the system fails. Our group conducts research on fault tolerant control and health monitoring/prognosis technique to improve UAV system reliability, maintainability and survivability.
