Background
Souvik Datta is an Associate Scientist at Temasek Laboratories, National University of Singapore (NUS). He joined the laboratory in July 2026 after receiving his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from NUS in June 2026.

His research focuses on learning based inertial navigation for autonomous UAVs, with interests in AI based IMU dead reckoning, uncertainty aware state estimation, and navigation in GPS denied environments. He develops learning based inertial odometry algorithms, integrates them with the PX4 flight stack, and validates their performance through simulation and real-world flight experiments.
