Background
Billy Pik Lik Lau (Senior Member, IEEE) is currently working as a senior research scientist at Temasek Laboratories, which is part of the National University of Singapore (NUS). He has obtained his Ph.D. from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) in 2021, his M.Phil. in Computer Science from Curtin University Sarawak Malaysia in 2014, and his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the same university in 2010. His doctoral research concentrated on data fusion and big data analytics in the context of urban science and the Internet of Things. After completing his postdoctoral work aimed at integrating aspects from both his master's and doctoral studies, he subsequently shifted his focus to multi-robot operations. His research interests encompass multi-robot exploration, multi-agent systems, sensor fusion, robotic perception, and the implementation of machine learning in practical autonomous systems.
